Why I am always late!

Hailey obviosly doens't know why i am always late! I am not always late, but this is more of why my morning are always eventful. Imagine getting up at 4:00 to Hailey crying, why she wakes up at 4 almost everyday i do not know. Then she usually gets to sleep in our bed for the last 1 hour and half of sleep, which means no sleep for Brandon and I. Around 5:30, i get up shower, and then there is a little noise at the bathroom door. I see the handle move and the door slightly open, then close, slightly open then close, and then i hear giggling, and the door finally opens all the way and here is what i see
So she walks in and obviously is trying to tell me something, but before this pic, she removed the towels from the towel rack. I like to believe she is trying to talk herself out of hanging on the bar, becuase she is NOT supposed to hang on the bar unless at gymnastics.

But, as you can tell, touching this bar is just too tempting, so she must succomb and touch the bar while looking back at me. Keep in mind i am trying to get ready at this point, so i keep turning around to see what she is doing. Also notice that she is standing on the scale. She carries the scale with her everywhere to use as a step stool. Although the scale isn't much a step stool, she uses it as one.

So, i somehow deleted a picture, but there was a picture of her in the shower making faces before this one, becuase she loves hanging out in the shower in the morning. Then she is back to trying to determine whether she should hang or not hang on the bar.

Now she is back in the shower showing me her belly. She is just too funnny in the morning. Are you starting to see how this can be slightly distracting.

Then she finally manages to hang on the bar. I caught her in mid action.

So i finally decide it is time for us to brush our teeth. So here we are, hailey's favorite part is brushing her tongue. She gets to brush in the morning, but we brush in the evening. It is an even trade off. After we brush teeth, i usually have to wash her face and then let her put on some of my mositirizer. If she sees me putting on blush, of course she has to try out the brush as well.

Now she is back in the shower. She just cracks me up. Who knows what she was saying or doing here.

here she is being a monkey, she has just started to try to pound on her chest and make gorilla noises. She also does a really funny monkey face and noises. But i wasn't as privilenged to get to see those on this particular morning.
So after all this is bathroom i hear my bedroom door slam shut and footsteps running into the living room. So i come out of the bedroom to find this...

and this, Yes she is trying to jump. After coralling her back into our bedroom and finding something to occupy her that won't make me anymore late. I finally get off to work.

So there it is, a morning in my house. I need to remember these sane mornings becuase once i have more kids i am sure there will be many more adventures. I do cherish and enjoy my mornings with Hailey. I never know what she will say or do. And i usually am not late, but if i am it usual is pertaining to a mischevious Hailey. She has also found an interest in jewerly. So she has a bag of her own, but for some reason my necklaces are way cooler than hers and she always ends up with mine on. I need to take some pictures of her in all of her jewerly one day. She has about 25 different necklaces, clip on earings, braclets, and a tiaria, which of course all must be worn at the same time. =) I still need to post some videos of Hailey and i have some pictures of horseback riding from when angela. But i will do those another night. I have worked late the last too nights which i also want to comment on. So much more to come, when i have a chance.

Pictures and other news!

So here are some fun pictures from our visit with Angela. We went to the zoo. And since i haven't figured out how to change the order of pictures after i upload them, these are oppposite the order i want. So this is the last thing we did at the zoo.

Hailey LOVES riding the carousel. So if she is still awake by the end of our visit, we let her have a ride.

This picture is a squirell monkey. They are the cutest little monkeys and the phoenix zoo has an exhibit where you walk into the exhibit, so we can literally walk right up to the monkeys. Hailey loves watching them as well as they are very active.

Angela is the 'forest' at the zoo, with the pretty macaws behind her. We really enjoyed her visiting us.

Hailey practicing riding a hourse. Although she doesn't look so sure of herself here, she actually did like sitting up there after a few seconds.
They have a children's area with a petting zoo and farm equipment that the kids can climb on. So here is Hailey driving the tractor. We dont' have pictures, but she actually pet the goats in the petting zoo. Although her favorite part is washing her hands afterwards. She is like, "dirty" and holds her hands up and then says "Ucky" for yucky. It is pretty cute.
This is another play area for kids, a big robe web to climb on. Hailey just sits on it and bounces, but she thinks she is such a big kid.

There she is again, and it seems like we don't visit the animals, but we do. Hailey and I go to the zoo on a regular basis and she does enjoy looking at the animals, but we let play on the cool stuff too.

This is at the wallaby exhibit. You get to walk into the wallaby exhibit too, but the wallabys were hiding, so we didn't to see very many. So we let Angela nd Hailey, climb into this little wallaby's pouch. =)

So this is obviously not at the zoo, but i had to post it and the story that goes with it. So one morning, i had some free time befoer i had to go into work. So i was working on paperwork. I am in a chair next to this chair working on paperwork. Hailey comes out of her room and says, " COLOR". And climbs up in brandon's chair and grabs his suduko and starts to 'color'. It was really cute, but brandon wasn't thrilled with the marks on his suduko.
Okay, more pics tomorrow. I am done for tonight. =)

When it rains it pours!

So before i add pictures i will give everyone an update, and beware it is long. So, i don't think many people know this, but Brandon's dad was diagnosed with metatstatic melonoma about a month ago and he had his surgery on Thursday morning to remove the cancerous lymph node. He is doing very well and it appears as though they were able to remove all of the cancer. The took biopsies of his throat, tongue, other lymph nodes, and behind his nose. They have looked all over his body and in his eyes to find where the cancer orginated, as it didn't originate in the lymph node. Good news is that all of those sites have come as negative, meaning no cancer, which is really good. However, we still are unsure on the primary site. This slightly affects the next steps to take becuase without knowing where the cancer started it is hard to determine the areas for radiation. He will start radiation in four weeks, so please keep him and our family in your prayers. He is still in the hospital and can get out once they remove the tubes for drainage from his neck. He had two tubes, but they were able to remove one today. So hopefully tomorrow or Monday he will get to go home.

Now that i have that out of the way, lets backtrack to the night before his surgery. My sister, Tiffany, called me at about 9:00 her time and was complaining of right sided stomach pain, it was so bad at times she could barely talk. I told her to go to the ER and she called a family friend who took her. Well at about 1:00 in the morning her time, we find out that she had appendicitis. So Thursday morning while Brandon's dad was in surgery so my sister. ALthough my sister's surgery was only 1 hours long and Brandon's dad was 4.5 hours. Anyways they removed her appendix, a cyst on her ovary, and some extra fluid in her abdominal cavity. She is back at home but it still pretty sore. So keep her in your prayers as well.

Lastly, my other sister kimberly had foot surgery two Friday's ago. This was a planned surgery for a broken seismoid bone in her foot. She was born with the broken bone, but as she has started running more it was causing her problems.

Oh and one more thing, about three weeks ago (when we first found out about Brandon's dad), i went for a doctor's appointment and had been feeling some pain in my right lower abdomen. They found a small mass, so they did an ultrasound. Turns out i have a cyst, can't remember what type, and it isn't a big deal. I had to schedule an appointment with a GI specialist to rule out anything GI. And i am fine there. So i have appointment next Monday to see what the doctors wants to do. I am hoping we can just watch the cyst, as i don't really have time right now for a surgery no matter how small.

So I have been busy these past few days, but it is a times like this that i had to rely on God even more, becuase i couldn't handle all of this on my own. I am so thankful that all three of family members are out of surgery and are doing well. And i am extremely hopeful that next week won't be so eventful! =)

My Birthday!

So today i reached the big 26. =) The best part of the day is when i got home Hailey says, "hadapy birrrrthbay" Or something similar to that, but it was so cute and just melted my heart. =) I worked on my clinical, which i am still loving, read some articles i need to read, and watched American Idol. Brandon made dinner and Angela made this wonderful, raspberry cheesecake, lightly drizzled with white chocolate and a oreo crust. It was absolutely delicious. This is the same recipe that my other sister Tiffany will be having at her wedding. So it was a nice day!

This is off topic but on my clinical we do a ton of therapy in a local gymnastics place. Due to Hailey's love of hanging from objects, i thought she would enjoy a gymnastics class. So on Tuesday, i signed her up for a free trial. well, she LOVED it. She was so cute and i wish i would have taken pictures. She sat and waited her turn and then tried her best to follow the jumps the 'coach' did. She can't really do all the types of jumps they do, but she LOVES trying. She is also so fearless. They have a foam pit and she tried to jump into it. It is quite the drop off. THe main problem Hailey had was she can't jump far enough forward yet. So she instead jumped up, came down on her bum and then face planted into the foam pit. I thought for sure she was going to be crying, nope, laughing hysterically. and then she tried to do it again. She also figured out how to get out of the pit by herself, which is actually pretty difficult. SHe just uses her arms and pulls herself up. I will have to take pictures sometime becuase it is just priceless. We will see how next week goes!

Well, i better get to bed, getting up at 5:00 most mornings is taking its toll on me, especially becuase i always stay up later than i should. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their week!

Our daughter the monkey!

So i don't have much time as my clinical is keeping me super busy, tons of fun though. I get to see all different types of children: autism, downs, seizure disorders, CHARGE syndrome, CP, etc and they range in age from 1 to 14. However, i am really busy, gone from about 6:30 to 6:00 most days and working some weekends. But back to the reason i am posting today. =)

On Saturday morning, Brandon and i were trying to sleep in becuase Hailey of course got up at 5:30 am again. So we just let her play in our room, well at 6:00 i get up and go into our bathroom (connected to our room), first i see the towels out in our bedroom, then i see monkey Hailey, hanging from the towel rack bar. i should have taken a picture, but i didn't think about it. She has been such a monkey lately, climbing everything, hanging on everything. She has only had one gooseegg, but i foresee many more in the future, especially if she keeps this up.

One other note i have pictures from the zoo that i will upload when i get the chance. Angela, my sister, is here visitin gme for her spring break, so we all went to the zoo. Well, i am extremeley so i am off to bed. Hope everyone is having a good week!

A silhouette!

So today at daycare, there was a sweet lady who takes a piece of black paper, looks a child's silhouette and then cuts out their silhouette. This is Hailey's and i thought it was adorable. Notice the little bow on top of her head and the cute little curls at her neck. She still hasn't had a haircut. I jsut wanted to share. and in case anyone is wondering. I had to look up how to spell silhouette.

I also wanted to post pictures from this weekend. This is Brandon and I at the Salt Cellar in Scottsdale. Mainly this is so Tiffany (my sis) can see my new haircut. But i also wanted to post a pic taken at the same place almost exactly two years ago. I got a much larger lobster to hold when i was pregnant. =) Enjoy a look into my past!

Pictures?!?!

So i am going to try to figure out how to post pictures to a blog. Here is a picture of Hailey before her first birthday party. She had so much fun at the birthday party, hitting a pinata, bouncing in the bouncy house, doing a cake walk, and eating cake and ice cream. She was a trooper and really had a ton of fun.
Here she is when she was having a sick day. Daddy stayed home with her becuase i was on my clinical. She ended up getting better, but we found out she is allergic to augmentin.

Here is one of Hailey with her stroller and new baby doll, mommy and daddy bought her.

And last is her on Valentine's day with Oreo (the dog), a candy sucker, grandma's cup with water in it, sitting in pop's chair. Isn't she quite the princess? When she gets in pop's chair she says "mine chair, mine chair". We remind her it isn't her chair, and she doesn't have any trouble sharing it with pop's.

Okay, so a question for regular bloggers. Is there a way to move the pictures around once you add them. I added the valentine's picture first and then when i added a new picture it went up to the top. So the last picture i added is first, if that makes sense! Any suggestions?? Also, i may try to add video soon as i have a TON of Hailey.

Our First Blog

I have found myself reading more and more of my friend's blogs. So i thought i should maybe start my own up. So here is my attempt at blogging. I can't promise to update as often as i should, but i should try. This will also give my family and friends a chance to see what we are doing out here in AZ.

Hailey is over a year and a half now and is talking a ton. She must take after me. =) We went to the zoo on Thursday and she enjoyed herself. She got to pet a horse and the goats. Her favorite part of the petting zoo was getting to wash her hands. She loved the orangatangs and we watched them for about twenty minutes. She rode the carousel and the safaria train. She said hi to the wallaby's and played in the little people's farm area as well. We had a picnic on a blanket with peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches, blueberries, grapes, and strawberries. She talked about the animals, although i couldn't understand what she was saying. She is starting to enjoy the zoo more and more each time we go.

Brandon and I have started to process of moving our stuff to a storage shed. We are hoping to rent the condo out starting in May, if we can find someone to rent it out. So if you know of anyone send them our way. I start my third clinical next week. I am looking forward to it as it is in pediatrics, but the hours are long. It will be quite the adjustment, but i know it will all work out.

Well, i should probably go to bed as it has taken me WAY to long to figure out how to make a cute background for this blog. I have spent over two hours, but i was determined. So i will try to put some pictures on here and update soon.
